G.R. Minner was born and raised on a 300-acre dairy farm near New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. He is the middle child of seven children in a boisterous and hard working farm family. Their farm was surrounded by Amish farms and throughout the years, they became acquainted with those families and their customs. He maintains a friendship today with one of the Amish men who helped on their farm.
He holds a B.A. in Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. For the past forty years, he has owned a successful home-improvement business.
Though this is his first novel, he has been a storyteller and story collector all of his life. Through his business, he has had the opportunity to enjoy listening to thousands of customers retell life stories and anecdotes as well as entertaining them with his own stories.
He is retired and lives in Mount Juliet, Tennessee with his wife. They enjoy traveling in their motorhome, exploring the countryside.
